My client is looking for a Service Lead/ Registerd Manager to register the service with OFSTED as Registered Manager and ensure service meets new OFSTED standards.
Organise, develop and manage services to support young people who have left care to meet legislative and policy requirements
Organise, develop and manage services to support young people who have entered the country as unaccompanied asylum seekers aged 16 and 17 to meet legislative and policy requirements
Establish new opportunity for services for the business to expand. Contribute to planning and developing integrated children and young people’s services.
Work with the RI to manage leaving care service. Prepare the service for the first OFSTED inspection in 2024/25 aiming for a minimum good
Build and develop staff team. Manage residential staff team, including Deputies, Team Leaders and Support Workers
Manage quality assurance. Manage budget, Advise support staff on direct support to young people who have left care
Advising on plans and preparation for young people still in care but planning to leave. Ensure the operation is involving young people in care planning, service delivery and policy development
Maintaining specialist knowledge of legislation, policies, practice and procedures relating to children leaving care
Audit of such written and computer records as are necessary for the running and development of the service. To work with director to set objectives for the service. This will include planning, target setting and establishing standards which reflect agreed good practice and include user involvement at all stages.
Participate in setting up, using, and monitoring quality assurance systems to measure performance against agreed standards, including involvement in formal service/establishment inspection, reviews or audits.
Prepare reports as required on service delivery, service developments and other topics Take ownership of safeguarding for the operation and advice on any safeguarding concerns raised and liaise with any relevant bodies
Ensure effective communication with all staff through written information, direct formal supervision, agreed appraisal systems and staff development plans. Arrange, and where appropriate, be involved in induction of new staff, practice teaching and assessment.
Participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff in accordance with Recruitment and Selection Procedures and Warner requirements. Maintain good employee relations, and investigate and respond to staff grievances.
Develop the performance of workers.
You must have your level 5 and it is essential you have experience with 'Ofsted'.
Salary is from £35k-£50k
